Vamoose, it's a moose

For years they have roamed the wilds of the Midwestern USA, from the Rocky mountains to the Canadian border. But due to a recent increase in car usage, more and more moose are being run over on the roads and highways.

Moose usually survive such encounters, but often they are ill and need to have a leg amputated in order to ease their suffering. The result: a massive build-up of moose limbs throughout the country.

It is not yet clear how best to combat this unusual situation. If left unchecked, the moose limbs may become rotten and could potentially spread disease.

President Bush has been informed of the threat. He had this to say: "I've been speaking with my advisers about the moose limbs. They've been a threat to this country for a long time, and we can't ignore them any longer. I would ask people not to approach them or speak to them. Specially trained US army troops are going to round them up and burn them."

It is not clear if he knew what he was actually talking about.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
