Like a pro footballer Mr Onan also kept his balls close to the ground

Los Angeles - (Rotters): LA Galaxy football team's latest recruit David Beckham has signed a multi-million dollar deal to promote the Kentucky-based Creationist Museum and will appear on its advertising hoardings as Old Testament character Mr Onan.

The deal follows intense negotiations to find a suitable role for the ageing has-been footballer to portray in a wholesome yet manly and family-oriented way.

Earlier press reports had suggested that Beckahm, 31, was to have promoted a Disney theme park by dressing up as Prince Philip, a character from the cartoon Sleeping Beauty.

But these have been rejected as fanciful after the Kentucky facility reportedly offered to double whatever fee Disney was offering to secure the player's co-operation.

Some rumors also suggest that Beckham's wife Victoria has been offered a chance to make money from this novel promotion but has rejected the only remaining ad slot available which was for someone to take the role of the ass in the Museum's nativity scene.

The Creationist fun park opens later this year in May.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
