A 52-year old blind man whose seeing-eye dog is afflicted with the sleeping disorder narcolepsy has been standing on the corner of 4th and Woodruff since Tuesday waiting to cross the street, say passersby.
"I saw him a couple of days ago on my way to work and his dog was asleep. I walked by again this morning and he was still there, and the dog was still asleep. Someone should do something," said Bertram "Bertie" McWhirter, a poet and part-time bowling shoe rental agent.
When asked for comment, renowned German guide dog trainer Korbl Huber stated, "Er braucht einen anderen Hund." We think Hund means dog in English, but otherwise we have no idea what he said.
