The mother of the 19-month old boy who was slapped by another passenger nearly two weeks ago said today the airline is charging her a $10.00 "slapping" fee.
Gamma Airlines spokesperson Mitt Swiggins confirmed the fee, saying, "She and her child received extra attention aboard our aircraft and that's something we charge extra for, even if those services are provided by another passenger."
Swiggins said the airline was surprised to learn the mother objected to the fee because flight attendants also provided the mother with "a free baggy containing several free ice cubes" to treat a scratch under the toddler's eye.
