Washington, D.C. - The Obama administration announced today, that the President has submitted a plan to Congress that would require the GPO (Gov. Printing Office), to revise and extend the Mayan calendar for at least one year.
With the Congress in recess until after the elections in November, and the current Republican caused gridlock in Washington, the President sees little chance of the plan being passed and implemented before the December 21st "deadline."
In response, Governor Romney criticized the Obama plan, saying that the proposed extension to the Mayan calendar, was just another short term fix without a solution; and that he has a "more permanent plan" for addressing the "Mayan problem."
When asked for specific details of their plan, Romney said, "get with us on that in January after the inauguration, contingent upon my being elected, and there being a 2013."
