Mario Balotelli revealed today that he plans to run as an independent for the office of the President of the United States of America in 2012. Balotelli is famed for typically bizarre behaviour, but our sources indicate that even Paul Gascoigne was surprised by the latest move.
There are some fundamental challenges he must overcome in order to be successful. Mario Balotelli is not a US citizen, does not currently reside in the USA and is under 35 years of age. Therefore he does not meet any of the constitutional requirements to become president.
Mario is tonight travelling to South Carolina to stage a rally in support of his campaign. A spokesperson for the Balotelli campaign responded "President Obama has been a huge influence on Mario, he believes that he too can win the hearts and minds of the American public and become the 45th president"
