Washington--An out of shape Newt Gingrich is slowly falling behind in the race for the White House because is out of shape.
An out of breath Gingrich tried to speak to reporters today, but struggled because he was out of breath. His spokesman did the talking to reporters.
"Newt feels he wasn't ready for the endurance race of campaigning for president. He is used to the short campaign races that only last a couple months. His endurance just isn't at the level he would like right now."
Other candidates that are in better shape than Mr. Gingrich, like Ron Paul, seemed to snicker as they passed the spot on the road where Mr. Gingrich was catching his breath.
Ron Paul was kind enough to offer Mr. Gingrich a few suggestions to make the run a little easier. "Why don't you give back all that money Fannie Mae gave you, that might lighten your load and make it easier for you to run." Ron Paul yelled.
Mr. Gingrich wasn't too pleased with the comment, but was too busy trying to catch his breath to say anything back. He did have enough strength to give Ron Paul the finger.
