Parody writer's block occurs when real life is stupider than fiction

It's hard to be funny when you can't take what people say, manipulate the words a bit, and then make the people sound like asses.

Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann take the manipulating out of the equation.

Said one out-of-work parody writer, "You got Michele Bachmann blaming Jimmy Carter for the swine flu outbreak in the late 70s and saying that the Founding Fathers ended slavery. I mean if it were fiction, it would be funny. It it stands, it's frickin' pathetic."

Another hungry writer remarked, "Palin saying that polls are for strippers, that Paul Revere warned the British. I mean, I'm racking my brain here and can't up come up with anything better.

"Making themselves look like asses is like outsourcing customer service to India. It's putting some Americans outta work."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
