Bristol - (Sock-It-To-'Em): She's hotly denied ever being romantically involved with the Jo Yeates accused.
But Saturday's 6.8-magnitude tremor rattled blond Emily Williams as much as murder charges brought by police on lodger Vincent Tabak.
The fit and athletic thirty-something Bristol woman, holidaying in Chile since Jo Yeats' death, was fast asleep when the earthquake struck.
She's now back home in England, albeit incognito, as police complete a search of her flat where Tabak was captured in the Yeates murder case.
Worried drinking pals at the Bristol Ram pub have fretted over Emily's refusal to join them for a friendly glass.
Her friendship with Tabak's girlfriend Tanja Morson is said to be strained to the point of constipation as piles of unsaid recriminations mount up over the killing charge.
"Emily's shellshocked at what has happened," Ram barman Dave Skank commented this evening.
"She's been drawn into a terrible crime with all kinds of hideous ramifications.
"No one will rest until that blasted missing sock turns up."
Christopher Jefferies is a Babycham kinda drinker...
