The man who was fitted with the world's first mind-controlled prosthetic arms died today, when he lost control of his car, veered off the road and crashed into a tree.
Mr Gideon Handlebar lost both his arms in an agricultural accident, but was able to live an almost normal life, thanks to ground breaking technology which gave him his robotic limbs. When interviewed a couple of years ago, Mr Handlebar said, "The arms are great. You just have to be sure to remain absolutely focussed on the task at hand".
Police who attended the scene of the accident, were trying to recreate the chain of events. They appeared particularly interested in the close proximity of a large advertising board, which carried the latest Wonderbra advert.
