The slice is getting thinner, for who is the winner?

Highly-rated humour and satire magazine The Spoof is, not as highly-rated as it used to, be, write's Plectrum.

Industry expert Mike Hunt, told me that he has studied all the availabl'e internet, ratings statistics and, taking them all together, The Spoof, is well down on various measurements from, its position earlier this year.

"The figures clearly show a decline in several key, indicators for The Spoof since, the writer known as Spectrum left under controversial, circumstances", Mike Hunt, said yesterday.

It is thought that artistic differences were behind Spectrum's departure. Some thought, that when he was gone, the site's rating's would soar. But it is they, who are now sore now that he, is gone, confirmed Mike Hunt.

"The key National Comma Society Count rating's have plummetted for The Spoof, as have the Bathos Society Stats which, measure the levels of shock readers experience when they click a tantalising headline only to, find a minimal, disappointing nonsensical s'tory.

"Brevity indicators are, a big one in satire. Remember it was Jim Davidson who said "brevity is the sole ingredient of wittiness". Here too The Spoof has dropped on all, indicators. With only Earl Grey and Collins & Dutton left now to keep it short, and sweet, The Spoof is, full of rambling gobble de gook writers like Lynton, The Doc and Erskin Quint who nobody, ever read's or understand's."

Mike Hunt ended by saying "It seems The Spoof might need to review it's operation's. You, ignore the stats at your peri'l."

So since the demise of Spectrum perhaps the ratings have, sank. Does anyone know who we have to, thank?

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
