Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver has been banned from driving for 17 minutes after she was caught nearly ten times over the legal drink-drive limit.
The 46-year-old, who plays flight controller, Eileen Grimshaw in the soap, was stopped in Northenden, Manchester, when her vehicle ran into several orphans and a nun.
Cleaver admitted driving with excess alcohol when she appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court and was ordered to pay a £5 fine after the incident.
The actress was driving a T4 tank that she'd borrowed from a passing American serviceman, who was bowled over by the celebrity's vivacious good lucks, as well as the cricket bat that she hit him with.
The distraught actress is presently being comforted by friends, until her ban ends after lunch time today.
