A farmer's wife living in Devon, was arrested this morning for cruelty to animals. It is reported that she was upset at being chased around her kitchen by 3 blind mice.
Being blind their sense of smell was heightened and they were able to locate her from the pungent pong eminating from her apron. She had just slaughtered a pig and was covered in pig guts.
On realizing this, she removed the apron and threw it to the other side of the kitchen. The 3 blind mice followed the smell whilst the farmer's wife grabbed a carving knife and ran towards them and proceeded cut off their tails with the carving knife.
Constable Copper, first on scene said that he'd never seen such a thing in his life, as three blind mice. He also said that slaughtering the pig was part of the farmer's wife's job description but the cutting off the tails of the blind mice was pure maliciousness on her part.
She will appear in court tomorrow for sentencing.
