Labour MP Andy Slaughter, whose constituency includes Television Centre, was outside the BBC to lend his support to the protesters against the BNP.
He said: "I think it is just irresponsible. Cutting through the dinner party conversation about freedom of speech, the practical impact it is going to have on Muslim, black and Asian communities is reason enough not to give the BNP a platform. These people who were born here, their families having lived here for up to 60 years, have far more right to use the BBC than those with backgrounds stretching as far back as 1066 and Mr Conquerer! Those pesky French have been trying to control this country for years, and I for one am fed up of it.
" Labour have been happy to receive support from many other nations in this long, exhausting and expensive battle. We have a beautiful system that continues to tax the French whilst we slowly eat away at their assets, character and will to live. With a bit of luck we'll have them on the beaches before the end of the year.
"This resistance must not continue and I for one am happy to continue supporting our, forgive the term, Muslim, black and Asian warriors through benefits and services to sustain their lavish lifestyles whilst being put through endless trauma by the French.
"It makes me feel like that cartoon dog, a musketeer, hang on, he was French. Damn, you know what I mean. These people are all behind me you know! Horaah!!"
With that final cheer he cracked open a fine MOET and celebrated his impending victory with those non-fascist student warriors.
