London, UK. Labor Day protesters came up with brilliant solutions this year.
The slogans were many, and amongst them were:
- "More Protest Days Give Progress!"
- "Protests Are What Brings the World Forward!"
- "Slogans Bring Progress to the World!"
An unnamed executive objected and said it is through voluntary cooperation and hard work that we achieve things through division of labor, not through class warfare and marching in the streets.
When confronted with this statement, a union protester shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Everyone can see that it is Labor Day protests that have given progress for the entire suppressed working class. Well, besides a few Thatcherite blockheads, who can see nothing that doesn't support their free-market, failed dogmas. It is obvious that it is demonstrating in the streets that has brought wealth to our societies."
The tradition of protesting and speaking for prosperity goes back a long time. Class warfare is the way of the future, according to many here in London on Labor Day. "Class warfare is positive. We all remember this year David Lloyd George's 'Slimehouse Speech' from 1909. We must stand up in that tradition."
Another protester added: "Our prosperity comes from hating our bosses and passing bills to give us rights to goods and services."
A union leader added: "We actually need to have every day off for protesting, so that we can have unprecedented levels of prosperity!"
