"Sir" Fred Goodwin, disgraced ex-boss of RBS (losses £21 billion) has said he can't possibly be expected to survive on £703,000 per year and is asking for a rise.
Because he is only 50 years old, "The Shred" is not entitled to £69.82 old-age pension or a free bus pass, so will have to get by on his £13,500 per week bank pension.
Apparently RBS can voluntarily put another million or two in his pension pot if he finds money too tight.
On the other side of Edinburgh, in a freezing flat too costly to heat, Joyce Danvers (68), a retired teacher, huddled around a cup of tea and waited for the revolution.
