A Bournemouth man is celebrating this morning after been confirmed as the first man ever to have ordered an omelette from an Indian restaurant.
Mike Jones, 33, told TheSpoof.com "I didn't know what to have for my tea. I couldn't be bothered to cook so I thought I'd get an Indian takeaway".
Mr Jones telephoned his order through to the Khyber restaurant at around 7.00pm yesterday local time. "I was asked for my order please. When I said omelette they sounded confused. I said it was there at the bottom of the back page just above chips. They told me nobody had ever ordered omelette before so I already thought I might be the first in Britain. It wasn't bad at all" he added.
Mr Jones said he "fancies a Chinese" tonight and plans to order the fried chicken and chips at the bottom of page 8.
