A hoax 999 caller was foiled yesterday as he tried to call out Fire, Police and Ambulance crews to a disused warehouse in Newport, Gwent.
The call was intercepted by a ruthless gang of hoax policeman, ambulancemen and firemen who converged at the premises. When they discovered the call was a hoax, they maliciously set fire to the barn anyway and immediately put it out. In the heat of the moment, the firemen threw themselves into the blaze and cold-bloodedly rescued themselves.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
