Just weeks after surgically enhanced mathmatician, Carol Vorderman was removed from the Countdown Studios by security guards it has emerged that the olive-skinned beauty, whose weight regularly fluctuates between 8 and 15 stone, has become yet another victim of the 'organized chaos' of the Working Family Tax Credit sytem.
Sources at Yorkshire Television say that studio bosses were forced to freeze 90% of her salary on Government orders, after she was overpaid by nearly £9 million. Vorderman, who has two children and has spent an estimated $300,000 on bottom implants and facial improvements, was unavailable for comment yesterday but her best friend Paul O'Grady told reporters "Carol's livid. She's filled out her renewal form on time every year and they still make a dogs arse of it. Where do they expect her to get that kind of money from?
"She's just a normal single Mum, struggling to bring up her kids. It makes me want to gob on the lot of them"
It is believed that Vorderman, who wore a grecian-style dress on 'Strictly Come Dancing' and was widely considered to be 'passionless', told Yorkshire Television to 'stick it up Des O'Connor's arse' when she heard of the pay cut. Insiders have revealed that the comment may have led iffeminate crooner Des, who is 80 years older than his wife, to hand in his resignation immediately and leave without a payout. The revelations have led to yet more embarrassment for the troubled HM Revenue and Customs Department.
A Government spokesman told reporters "Obviously it's difficult to comment on individual cases, but this problem seems to hinge on the fact that Ms Vorderman's award was based on her declaration of a £57.90 a week salary. We have no record of any notice of a change of circumstances and will not be reviewing the case".
It is widely believed that Vorderman, who once spelt 'cuntflaps' on the Countdown board, is now likely to be considered too hot to handle in the UK and may be forced to seek employment in the US, alongside stars like Cat Deeley, Hugh Lawrie, Eddie Izzard and Keith Harris and Orville.
