Mmm...plenty of room for the highchair

A young man who had a nasty scare yesterday is recovering at his home in Peterborough today.

Gary Colton, 26, who has two young children, had been walking past a car dealership when he apparently lingered for a few seconds over a Renault Scenic.

Mr Colton told TheSpoof "I've always hankered after a sports car, you know, like an MX5 but I accept you can't get a car-seat in them. But this was really scary. I actually considered the Scenic for about 5 seconds. Well, it's roomy. You can seat up to seven people. It's got side airbags. Could get a lot of baby equipment in that boot. Sorry, I'm not feeling so good again?"

Consultant psychologist Dr. Vivrat Singh told TheSpoof "By lusting after sports cars this young man is trying to hold on to his carefree days but the reality is he just can't have it. He is a family man now and needs something far more practical. This is a very common condition and I treat many people privately for this. Mr Colton should simply come for a course of a year's therapy".

Dr Singh then got into his flame-red £150,000 Ferrari Testarossa.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
