St Helier, Jersey - (Grim Ass Mess): Talk about hideous co-incidence. As Jersey investigators prepare to excavate a bricked-up cellar in the notorious Haut De La Garenne children's home former Labour Home Secretary David Blunkett plans to become a reality TV host in a new show that locks up juvenile delinquents.
Banged Up With Blunkett In Jersey has quickly been slammed as a tasteless, disgusting, fetid take on the child molester probe now gripping the nation following reports of buried bodies, national cover-ups and 'a scandal going all the way to the top.'
Blunkett will appear on a new Channel 5 bratcamp-style show that will jail ten juvenile thugs in a former prison in Scarborough, Yorkshire.
His role as Matron/Parole Board Director/Chief Psychotherapist will see him lording over the so-called reality TV social experiment much like Big Brother.
Meanwhile in Jersey scores of police are digging up the grim institution's foundations as more witnesses come forward testifying to a catalogue of torture and cruelty which government policy hid for nearly fifty years for fear of upsetting the Puppet Monarchy.
The Chanel No 5 show will be aired in October.
