The Government has today been forced to admit that its highly advertised sexual health campaign has backfired massively, with thousands of teenagers admitting that they are turned on by the sexy adverts featuring "heavy petting" and the removal of lacy undergarments embroidered with the word "Gonorrhoea" in the heat of passion.

A recent Mori poll has indicated that Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are now rated as "cool" diseases amongst the 13 to 18 year age group. The BBC watchdog Ofcom has confirmed that they receive up to 4,000 calls a day from people trying to buy the lacy pink "Gonorrhoea " panties and belt buckles featured in the adverts.

Disturbingly tattoo artists are also reporting a surge in body art featuring the words Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis and Herpes usually incorporating sexual imagery and being requested on the lower stomach area. A teenager having her first tattoo commented earlier today, "Chlamydia makes you infertile, suits me, I can get IVF if I want a baby in future."

In a further twist a registrar of Births, Marriages and Deaths today declined to register non-identical twins as Chlamydia(female)and Herpes(male) on the grounds of poor taste. Fifteen year old Tiffanny-Amber Highgrove went home in tears clutching her newborn twins saying, "me and me mates spent ages thinking of names. I have had to go with my second choice of Beyonce and Tyson now."
