Cherie Blair, the wife of former American Vice-President Tony Blair, was said to be furious after the memorial service to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
Mrs Blair told friends she was angry that throughout all the tributes paid to the deceased Princess, none of the speakers bothered to also pay tribute to her.
Mr Blair had apparently promised to get Prince Harry and Prince William to declare Cherie the "People's Wife of a Former Leader."
Mrs Blair stormed out of the Guards' Chapel after the service was concluded. She was later seen shopping in Chelsea with her lifestyle guru Carole Caplin.
