London - (Rotters): Crimebotch anchorman Nick Ross has emerged as a top suspect in the April 1999 murder of colleague Jill Dando.
The move follows Barry George's second Court of Appeal murder conviction petition on the grounds that a top Met cop framed him on orders from Balir.
Ross has now been dumped by the BBC show and faces extensive questioning about alibis he gave during the initial police investigation.
"I am gutted," Ross said today, "and I will greatly miss the chance of screwing over other invaluable police investigations from my anchorman position for the Beeb.
"I just hope they don't give the job to Salman Rushdie."
Barry George is 69.
