LONDON - The Queen Mother has returned to life, taking the form of a small, hybrid motorcar, Prince Charles revealed today.
In a letter to the Times Literary Supplement, headlined "My Queen Mum, the Car," Prince Charles wrote, "She speaks in her old voice, she knowns intimate family details to which no outsider had ever been privy."
The Prince, who recently announced he was an existentialist and regarded religion as philosophical suicide, wrote that the Queen Mother's return had restored his faith in a just, benevolent God.
"It can be no coincidence that my grandmother is a hybrid automobile," the Prince wrote. "The Lord is telling us to protect our environment."
The Queen Mother-economy car -- a rebuilt Fiat -- runs not only on gasoline, but on ethanol, natural gas. She/it runs most smoothly on gin.
