World's richest man, Bill Gates, today proves the rule that money can't buy you everything.
Gates is reported to have had laser eye surgery to allow him to no longer have to wear glasses but ever thrifty Bill decided to do it on the cheap with dire consequences.
A spokesman for computer giant, Microsoft, said:
"Mr Gates went to Honest John's eye clinic in Kings Cross London and selected the budget DIY package. He got the kit back to his hotel and was just preparing to do the operation when unfortunately he shone the laser directly into both his eyes.
"Doctors have confirmed that Mr Microsoft will have to wear a bag on his head for the next six months until the effects of the laser exposure settle down"
Gates told The Spoof:
"It was a silly mistake to make and some have said that I should have gone to Harley Street and got the thing done professionally. But hey! I'm not made of money you know? It costs about 500 quid an eye and that's about 2000 dollars all in.
"I'll go back to Honest John in the summer and do it right the next time"
Honest John commented:
"I don't know what you're on about pal. Bill who? We're saying nuffink 'ere!"
