Ross and Parky will fight it out live on the new series of 'It's a Knockout'

In a sensational showbiz stand-off today it looks as if two of the top chat show hosts in the country could be coming to blows.

Veteran, Michael Parkinson, and new kid on the block, Jonathan Ross, are locked in a bitter war of words over whose show will net an exclusive interview with Michael Jackson.

Speaking from his mansion in Berkshire's millionaires' row beside the slowly flowing Thames, the grumpy Yorkshireman told The Spoof:

"That young bugger Ross i'nt a patch on me lad. He's a right wassock who can't even speak properly!"

"That sad old get's passed it and should be thinking of retiring instead of interviewing Jacko" countered Wossy, with a twinkle in his cheeky eye that he obviously believed became him very well.

The competition in chat-show land is fierce to interview the top icon ever since he changed his name to squiggle and then back again to Prince again.

A spokesman for the BBC said:

"This will all come down to money in the end and if we can get enough wonga to buy Parky off then our man will get the gig"

Jackson was unavailable for comment last night as he is thinking of buying a new llama and maybe a replacement for Bubbles his long-time chimpy friend.

A source close to Terry Wogan, one time 'king of the chat' said that he's bought his missus a new car for Christmas and that he was well pleased with the deal.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
