Verruca Fluck, a 23 year-old hairdresser from Bolton, has taken unprecedented legal action today against a gang of local builders.
Miss Fluck has accused the group of acting in an entirely inappropriate and ungentlemanly manner.
Allegedly, Miss Fluck passes by the building site, where the gang have been working for the last six weeks, on her way to work at the local hair-dressing salon.
Miss Fluck claims that she has suffered serious emotional distress and trauma due to the fact that on no occasion has she been wolf-whistled or cat-called on any of her twice-daily journeys past the building site.
'Their behaviour is absolutely disgusting,' she stated earlier today.
'What's wrong with builders these days? There was a time when I could strut past a building site and guarantee that some hunky builder would give me a wolf-whistle or shout some endearing comment like, 'Come on love, show us your tits.''
Miss Fluck has accused the team of builders of acting improperly towards her and has lodged a claim for damages stating that the episode has permanently damaged her confidence and self esteem.
'I no longer feel confident enough to leave the house and the thought of passing another building site fills me with dread.' she stated.
'Those builders made me feel like I was invisible, it was like a slap in the face and I want them to pay for their indifference.'
'After all,' she concluded, 'Someone has to stand up for women's rights.'
