London - Aides of London Mayor wannabe Ken Livingstone were staying silent as news of his paternity of the Labour leader broke today.
Apparently a late 1960s fling with a 'deranged alcoholic slag' saw 'Ed' spawned in the back of a London potting shed before being hurriedly shoehorned into the Miliband family.
The deception was uncovered after some papers at the UN National Poisons Unit - which tests for DNA matches among controversial Brit 'hybrids' - found a direct hit with the Livingstone genome.
A cursory glance at the rescued documents paints a damning picture of the whole sorry saga including MI5 dossiers calling the 'mother' a KGB plant.
