AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi's bid to sign Christiano Ronaldo has been handed a major boost by local condom manufacturers and distributors.
Berlusconi last week said that he was determined to bring the Real Madrid ace to San Siro to add quality and attractiveness to the squad. AC Milan are currently on top of the Serie A and are tipped to beat bitter rivals Inter Milan to the league this season.
A spokesman for Durex was quoted as saying 'Christiano Ronaldo is always welcome to Italy, it can only be good for business!'.
The statement comes after the chairman of the Durex had sanctioned $20million as backup money for Berlusconi's Milan in case they pursued to bring Ronaldo to Milan next season.
