As another football season ends for the Minnesota Vikings, retiring quarterback Brett Favre announced his plans to pursue a second career as a professional photographer.
"I'm leaving professional football behind me--no, really, I am--for real, this time--and I thought, well, what now? I'm young. I'm healthy. I have a lot of life left in me. I should find a new line of work, something fulfilling. After giving it a lot of long, hard thought, in a stroke of illumination it came to me: photography."
"I enjoy taking pictures," explained Favre. "I find it very gratifying. I've got quite a collection of images, if you'd like to see them sometime."
Jardin DeLeit, Curator at Large at the Modern Museum of Minimal Masterpieces, reviewed a selection of Favre's work and concluded that Brett has got talent. "His style could best be described as real minimalism," said DeLeit. "It was a pleasure to ponder these tiny treasures, and I look forward to seeing more of Favre."
"My favorite subjects are small objects in nature," Favre said, "especially photographed on an intimate scale."
