Usain Bolt, world record holder for the 100 metres and global superstar who has set the world athletics championships alight, has stressed that he is not Gay.
"It was bound to happen I suppose, athletics is rife with speculation about all sorts of things like this" Bolt said to a press conference in Berlin. "But look, I can't possibly be gay. Tyson Gay is a world class sprinter as well, and defending world champion, and we are often seen in the same place at the same time. So I can't possibly be him can I. I repeat - I am not Gay."
Bolt was apparently responding to headlines which had suggested that neither he nor Tyson Gay had had to try to hard during qualifying: "Bolt and Gay cruising"
Meanwhile, South African 800 metre sensation Caster Semenya was subjected to the IAAF's incredibly mistimed and mishandled investigation into whether she is a woman or not...some things are beyond parody.
