Racegoers flocked to Scottsville racecourse in South Africa to see the first and last meeting of Giraffe Racing.
A spokesperson for the racecourse Charles Robbie said we tried Cheetah racing last week but the races were over in three seconds and punters complained every race was a fix.
The Giraffe racing has not worked out any better we needed several fire engines with extension ladders to get the jockeys in the saddles and the giraffes needed 12 gallons of water after each race. But we definitely decided to scrap it when every one of the seven races was won by a neck..
