I Know prayers get answered-leeds are in the third division

Handbills and flyers with the words. I shall lead you my people to the promised land for I am the truth the light and the guvnor and you can call me the guvnor. Have been found discarded on the floor of the small Lancashire Village of Blackburn.

Blackburn is of course home to Ince of the rovers who's exciting Blackburn team play their home fixtures at the Ewood Library.

Paul Ince once had the nickname of the guvnor when he was a Manchester United player but this was all in his own head and the youngers players are rumoured to have sniggered constantly at him behind his back. Certain older players were said to be more up front about it and the world famous boot slinger Sir alex Ferguson never got round to calling him the guvnor either. Perhaps he will have better luck with his new Blackburn underlings.

Anyone who were to speak of taking Blackburn Rovers to the promised land would probably be referring to taking them to Burnley, home of their better Lancashire rivals who have more football history than Blackburn could ever buy.

Burnley Football Club are best known for their claret and blue kit and are generally well liked in football because they have never tried to buy the league and ruin football unlike their neighbours.

With no chance of Burnley FC achieving promotion in the near future there is only one possible way this fixture can be resurrected and that is by Blackburn Rovers been relegated.

A new Messiah has arrived in Blackburn and the the churches are full in Burnley as well as mosques and Temples. Prayers may well be answered.

Praise the guvnor
