Chelsea football club was today plunged into further turmoil as they sacked their next manager before even unveiling him after Roman Abramovich decided to call time deeming his reign unsuccessful.
Despite the new manager not being appointed and this being the 'close season' along with a direct plea from an emotional John Terry who begged Abromovich to give the gaffer time. Alas, Terry's red eyed blubbering plea effectively fell on 'deafski' ears.
After the controversial sacking of Avram Grant, the Russian billionaire had warned the next manager that took over the reigns must win the Charity Shield, traditionally the new season's curtain raiser. Despite an emotional plea from a tearful John Terry who pointed out that Chelsea could not win the Charity shield as they were not in it.
Abramovich has also demanded that the next Manager in charge, as a minimum, he must win the Champions League, Premiership, FA Cup and League Cup. They (the team) must also play entertaining football along with winning every game at least 3-0.
If (and only if) this is achieved, then Abramovich will prepared to sit down with the new manager and discuss an extension to their existing 12 month contract.
A bewildered and emotional John Terry was too upset to comment.
