At a press conference held earlier today, it was reveled that Roy Keane has passed a medical to play for Sunderland FC.

Keane told us: 'I have passed a medical to play for Sunderland next season.'

The very successful ex-Manchester United midfielder could be a key player for Sunderland next season.

Sir Alex Ferguson told us 'He is a very good player he is a good motivator and I am certain he can take Sunderland in the top half of the table, but Sunderland won't be competing with us this season'.

We will see if Sunderland will have a key player in midfield next season.

Keane is unsure whether he will keep his position as manager at Sunderland. 'Well, that way, I'll be able to keep me in the squad I suppose.' He reasoned.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
