A search of George Will articles in support of civil rights, integration and support for minorities held behind by prejudice yields a big goose egg! But that hasn't stopped the bespectacled conservative journalist from aligning himself and his baseball-loving if minority ignoring perspective from basking in the Jackie Robinson retrospective.
Will finds it difficult to understand why he is being criticized for bandwagon jumping behavior: "Baseball is my love and so in this beloved venue I can see the importance of affirmative action. Blacks and other colored folks have brought so much to the game I love!"
Wills' critics want to know whether he loves housing, education and job (other than baseball) opportunity as much as he loves the great American pastime."Where was Will during Dr King's protests and the desegration fights of the 50's and 60's? And where has he been in the battle for affirmativer action in the job market and the higher education scene?": asks Nearly Everyperson Ofcolor.
Will, who was once described as a very attractive man by now outed racist Michael Richard's in his Seinfeld Kramer persona, denies the innuendos: "I want everyone in the world to have apple pie, baseball and America! The rest like housing, education and employment must bear the imperatives of the free market, no?"
