Race Driver Danica Patrick celebrated her 31st birthday Monday by winning the Daytona 241, a much shorter version of the Daytona 500, which was held last month.
Unfortunately, said observers, Patrick drove the entire race with her left turn signal blinking.
"She never would have done that a few years ago," said race fan Midol Winchell of Gas Springs, Texas. "I think her age is catching up with her."
Some other fans agreed with Winchell's statement and pointed out that Patrick had recently installed a compass on the inside of her race car's windshield and pasted AAA stickers on the back bumper.
"When she drives, she also wears those giant wraparound sunglasses that old people wear," Winchell pointed out, adding, "They look like welding goggles."
