Rob Gronkowski has broken his forearm during a game while his team was cruising forevermore to 59 points in victory, and now Gronk's fortune breaks the resolve of Patriot fans.

We can only tell Patriot fans to smile, though your heart is breaking. Fans must now forebear the absence of the Gold Dust Twins of Gronk and Aaron Hernandez.

Gronk is not invincible. He is not Superman.

Nagging injuries were part of his game this season, but a broken forearm means the Patriots may be forsaken and forlorn if Belichick lacks foresight.

Yet, we forecast Belichick won't foreclose on the franchise. But, what can we foretell about Gronk's forearm?

We know the Pats will not forfeit the season, though Gronk's foreplay may suffer.

Forewarned is forearmed, or perhaps we have become foreshadows of our foreordained fate. Unlike Gronk's ankle last season, you can't put a boot on an arm, can you?

This break is worse than having a water main break during a drought. We fear that the dam has busted, and the floodgates are about to breach. The Patriots can't catch a break.

This may be the worst injury since Jack fell down the hill and broke his crown…or at least since Tom Brady tore his ACL.

As the old axiom goes, for the want of a nail, the battle was lost.
In this case, for the want of a superstar, the Avengers could be putty in the arms of the enemy.

The Patriots never acknowledge any injury as a deal breaker, backbreaker or even ballbreaker.

Gronk surely can play sooner than later. After all, it's not like having a dislocated rib ready to spear you in your aorta.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
