A Lancashire software developer has released a console game for PS3 enthusiasts which looks set to rival 'Heavy Rain' as the most ambitious console game ever.
Jason Etherington, CEO of RinkyDinkyGames Inc told us from his Rishton office:
"Our game does share certain commonalities with Heavy Rain, in that we provide a totally immersive roleplay game which involves complex decision making, as well as hitting opponents with clubs and shooting them with large weapons. The game is pretty much defined by the user, in that his or her decisions will lead to a story conclusion based upon the decisions made during gameplay. Our major selling point though is that the game retails at £10 cheaper than our rival, and represents great value for money."
The RinkyDinkyGames product - 'I See It's Fucking Pissing Down Outside Again' has four leading characters who are leaving work at the start of the game. In torrential rain.
Players have to guide their characters through a night on the piss in an excellently rendered Accrington town centre, with their actions deciding upon what the characters drink, who they pick a fight with and who they end up shagging up a back alley at the end of the night.
A bit like Mickey Pourke and Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 Weeks.
'I See It's Fucking Pissing Down Outside Again' will be available from all leading stockists from Monday.
More as we get it.
