Congestion in Space

With the news that a clown has gone into space as a tourist, spending a cool twenty million dollars for his twelve day holiday, the big discount airlines have decided to get in on the act and offer their usual service but into space.

BrianAir will take people as far as Luton, and then the tourists will have to get a bus the rest of the way, whilst BMWhy will offer trips into space for a mere ten pounds, if booked three hundred years in advance; the trip is one way only, without seating or safety equipment. The return trip costs thirty-five million pounds.

Jet3 have also unveiled their Budget Space Flight package, with advertised costs as "From £12.40", however, this is only the cost for the peanuts and closer examination of the small print reveals that they don't actually fly at all, and you'll be transferred to Virgin Galaxy's Premier Service at a small upgrade cost of ten million (currency not specified).

Squeezy Jet's web site finally revealed their plans for their budget space flights with tickets priced between fifty and three thousand pounds. With each space plane capable of seating just five people, it is remarkable how they have managed to get over three thousand people onto each flight.

Industry regulator, OffAir, have urged people to wait until it is actually possible to fly into space before signing up to any of the offers.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
