Mount Palomar, California (IP) - Once again the Lunar eclipse that occurred this morning brought out the fun side of scientists not usually seen by the public.

Scientists stuck their hands in the air and made hand signals which cast shadows on the moons surface which was still lit by the sun right along the edge of the Earth's shadow. The figures cast on the moon included the always popular rabbit, a giraffe, the duck, and the bird gesture. This year the peace sign was very popular.

Anyone can do this fun trick. Simply hold your hand up high during any lunar eclipse and you will easily see its shadow projected on the moons surface.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
