Donald Trump has lied about so many issues, you can’t help but wonder: What lie hasn’t he told?
The most embarrassing lie happened while addressing the United Nations General Assembly on September 26, 2018. Trump said, “In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country…”
He wasn’t at a sunbelt super-spreader rally, addressing MAGA supporters. If at one of those rallies, his MAGA supporters would have cheered him on.
He was at the United Nations, and laughter from the General Assembly started slowly, rolling like a wave across the assembly, and reached a crescendo.
He didn’t leave the podium and walk out in a huff. He carried on, but that would have been a great opportunity to claim bone spurs and flee the hall like the pretender that he is.
But he carried on.
His most recent lie was that the coronavirus was over. Gone.
Or maybe his more recent lie was just last night, when he bused in Nebraska supporters in freezing temperatures for a super-spreader rally.
Afterward, they were left stranded. There were no buses to take them back to their cars. They waited for hours in the open. Several had to be taken to hospitals suffering from hypothermia.
Meanwhile, Trump was warmly ensconced in taxpayer-funded Air Force One.
If Trump had said, “Thanks, suckers!” That would not have been a lie.
