image for Edgy, Off-Broadway, Rendition of Hamilton to be Casted With All White Performers

The 70th annual Tony Awards are still a few months off, but there is no question that the hip-hop hit, Hamilton, is a clear front-runner for many of this year's categories. The run-away musical was even featured in this year's Grammys, and with nothing seeming to slow this giant of Broadway down, the question becomes, what's next?

Well, according to Brian Duffel, graduate of State University of New York, his small, off-Broadway, performance is next. In the long tradition of theater, Brian plans on an "edgy re-casting" of the show.

"Hamilton was the first time that I had really ever heard about [Alexander Hamilton], I mean I know he's on the ten, or well, I do now, and I couldn't believe that all those guys were so… urban, I guess…
…I thought wouldn't it be cool to re-cast it, you know, mix it up, like what if they were all white guys, or old. So I put a call out for old white guys to play the founding fathers."

Brian didn't offer any insight on how he legally plans on getting the rights to the musical, but adamantly insists that old white men could "totally" play the founding fathers.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
