The true story of Marvel Comics' Daredevil

Born in 1964, Daredevil, "The Man Without Fear," is the son of Stan Lee and the late Bill Everett, and a half-brother to Everett's son, by parthenogenesis, Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner.

Daredevil also goes by the alias of Matt Murdoch, pretending to be the son of wealthy Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox News and may other alternative or underground media. Daredevil (aka "Matt Murdoch") is one of Marvel Comics' many "disabled" characters, having been blinded in an explosion that occurred during his early childhood years when he was playing, unsupervised, with a chemistry kit he'd received for his fifth birthday.

His aversion to violence was also a handicap, of a different sort, that the costumed character had to overcome if he ever wanted to rise to superhero status. He did so by becoming schizophrenic, developing, in addition to his Daredevil personality, the Matt Murdoch persona. As Daredevil, he could cripple, or even kill, his powerful adversaries, while rationalizing that it was "The Man Without Fear," not he, Matt "Murdoch," who had committed these terrible deeds, the same way that his alleged father, Rupert, blames the abuses of his news agencies on his secret identity, Bill Ailes.

Although he is blind, Daredevil's other senses compensate for his loss of vision, having developed to superhuman levels of perception.

Besides Everett and Lee, many other male influences inspired and shaped the life of Daredevil-Murdoch, especially in his, or their, earlier years. Wally Wood, Gene Colan, Jim Starlin, and Frank Miller were among the blind superhero's many mentors.

Daredevil never married, and he tossed the Black Widow over in favor of Matt Murdoch's new girlfriend, the sociopath and assassin Elektra. Fans are waiting to see how their unlikely romance works out. My prediction: not well, not well at all!

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
