In a week when it was announced that 130 million tweets per day are not worth reading - I feel its time to pay tribute to a leg-end of the 140 character club - step up to the plate Mr Joey 'seph' Barton, formerly of Mancester and Noocastle, now of Lundon.
Barton brings literatue to the masses. Many know him for his high jinx at christmas parties and nightclubs, some are even aware he performs on the football pitch infrequently.
For others he is tweeting the quotes of Oliver Wilde, Albert Enstein, the Dalai Lama and Charles Darwin.
I think, in a way, if a writer says he/she is not inspired by joey barton, then one cannot seriously call themselves a writer. i feel he is always there, my guiding light, looking over my shoulder, waiting to stub the proverbial cigar in my eye should my writing not be upto scratch.
Or maybe I just be paranoid. nurse, my medicine pronto!
