Cukes safe to eat if bought in Southern Ontario

This reporter has only just heard why cucumbers are in the news AGAIN. My husband told me when I told him cucumber stories were running rife on the Spoof.

I live in a farming area and just ate some fresh slices of locally grown cucumber today. Our cucumbers appear to be fine so I would advise those who love the cucumber, to import them from Ontario.

Sad that people have died from tainted cucumbers.

If my memory serves me correctly, European importers of cucumbers from England, a few years ago, insisted that cucumbers be grown STRAIGHT and British cucumber growers had to grow their cucumbers in wooden splints so as to make them grow straight.

I must admit, I really did think my brother was goofing around when he told me this. He IS a bit of a comedian. No...it turned out to be true.

So if you are planning to EAT your cucumbers, you can safely import them from Southern Ontario.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
