Suzanne Pleshette of the former and original Bob Newhart show passed away a couple weeks ago, much to my dismay. I was only boy when she played Bob Newharts wife, but I would have given my right arm to be the one she told to turn out the lights when they went to bed.
At the end of Bob's second run where he played the host of small Inn in Vermont, Suzanne returned in the surprise ending where Bob woke up and told her about the dream he had of running a small Inn with a bunch of crazy people. It was a perfect way to end things, bringing back the woman that many thought Bob was actually married to, much the way everyone use to assume Dick Van Dyke and "Mary Richards" were really married.
Gods Speed Suzanne, nothing but good memories do you leave here for us.
