A website that helps scientists search for ET, by allowing computers all over the world, that are owned and operated by anyone who wishes to sign up, has messageboards on their site, that were "hijacked by trolls" yesterday.
Trolls attacked and took over a thread amongst these message boards causing severe damage and sending readers and writers running.
At least 2 threads have been reported to have been attacked by trolls.
Users describe the things as "small but strong. They have a lot of weapons and a strong army. We could not regain control," quoted an anonomyous source.
Reinforcements were called in to regain control over the threads, but at the moment have only succeeded in regaining control of one and shutting it down. The war still continues in one thread but is expected to escalate again today.
So far this morning, no fighting has yet been reported.
User's contacted, refused to comment.
The situation is not expected to improve, as the troll force seems to be growing.
Several deaths have been reported with 100's of others injured.
