Woman Wears Clothes, Walks along Platform

Funny story written by Alistair Clarke

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - A thin, androgynously-attractive woman in her late teens strode purposefully yet vulnerably down a narrow walkway in a softly-lit room filled with wealthy people on Tuesday night, sources have confirmed. Displaying confidence and poise that harkened back to classic film stars, she stopped to assume a pose and glance around her, thereby displaying her excellent bone structure, before deploying a practised spin and retracing her steps in reverse.

A well-tanned man in his early 60s raised an eyebrow as he observed the demonstration. "Oh, she's so wild, so untameable, yet approachable - she'll be perfect for my spring range", he was heard to remark to no-one in particular. A source present at the time has informed us that the consensus seems to be that the clothing produced in the upcoming year is going to be centred in some way on her, relating somehow to her personality or attitude.

The woman's image has already been present in numerous publications worldwide and has attracted attention for the people whose clothes she has worn. Her appearance is said to be considerably more interesting and alluring than that of other women in a similar position. Said to have legs, arms and other standard body parts, she will soon appear in a film by a famous producer which is predicted to increase awareness of her existence among the general public.

Industry legend Max Gallion believes that the lady in question will never be supplanted as the leading person in the fields in which she leads. "No doubt about it, this stunning chick will be top of the pile forever. That is, of course, unless another such girl appears, but this one is one in a million." He took a drag from his cigarette. "I mean, how often does lightning strike twice?"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
